My Story: Cultivating Connections and Driving Success
Growing up immersed in the worlds of 4-H and FFA, I developed a deep passion for animals and leadership from a young age. My experiences included holding numerous leadership roles, being a proud member of the National 4-H Congress, and receiving the prestigious Gold Star Award. My love for animals earned me the nickname "Ellie May," reminiscent of Ellie Mae Clampett, as my high school friends never knew what kind of animals I would bring home next. This passion was instilled in me by my grandfather, with whom I shared memorable projects and entrepreneurial endeavors.
I pursued my education at Texas A&M University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business and Development. During this time, I taught horsemanship clinics across Texas for Texas AgriLife Extension, further fueling my desire to educate others. I then continued my academic journey at Tarleton State University, where I served as a teaching assistant and managed the Equine Assisted Therapy Program while earning my Master's Degree in Agricultural Education.
After completing my graduate studies, I embraced the role of County Extension Agent for 4-H and Youth Development. In this position, I focused on sharing the importance of agriculture and sustainability, creating enriching experiences that empowered individuals and communities. I had the privilege of mentoring students as they moved from high school to college, helping them achieve their goals and realize their potential.
My career then expanded into business management and sales, where I gained valuable insights into CRM software, payroll practices, and the fundamentals of driving growth. This experience honed my skills in connecting people to business outcomes and deepened my understanding of client relationships.
Currently, I am thriving in the animal health industry, where I have successfully cultivated sales from a $200,000 business to nearly $5 million over the past three years. My commitment to exceeding sales targets and building strong client relationships has been instrumental in my success. I take pride in creating happy and healthy outcomes for my clients and their animals.
As I continue my journey in sales, I remain passionate about connecting people with solutions that drive results, and I look forward to new opportunities to make a positive impact in the industry.
